Prayer Vigil: Opening the Gate to Heaven

Love one another as I have love you. John 15:12

The Prayer Vigil will be held at the downtown church starting at 9am on May 19 and will conclude twenty-four hours later, at 9am, May 20.

Sign-up sheets will be available at both the downtown and Westside sites. Sign up for as much time as you can devote to prayer and get ready to enjoy the blessings that come when our parish joins in prayerful worship.

The Prayer Vigil makes the spiritual connection between our parishioners and the Faith Raising Campaign. It marks one of many steps toward our goal of sharing Christ’s light in our world. The grace of individual prayer is the centerpiece of our spiritual life. The Prayer Vigil is where we harness the power of collective prayer, focused on the prayer requests of our faith family, our community, and our world. Opportunity for prayer through music, through collective prayer or through silent contemplation will be offered throughout the twenty-four hours. We will even have a special Walking Meditation. All who participate will be invited to pray for the special intentions of our parish members, gathered from home visits and collected at church drop boxes.
