A letter from our Pastor, Fr. Jim Lee:

Welcome to St. Michael Parish!  Thank you for stopping by our website.  It is good to have you spend a few minutes with us.  We hope that you can easily find the information you are seeking or if you are just browsing, have a good time doing so.

Our parish faith community is very alive and involved.  We seek to place God first and foremost in our lives and in all we engage in as a community.  Our many ministries seek to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in both word and action.  Our outreach ministries serve not only our own parishioners but many who come to us for assistance.  We have a very active St. Vincent de Paul Society which provides a free Clothing Bank three times a week.  Our Faith Formation ministries range from pre-school to Education.  We see faith as a lifelong journey.  Our Liturgical Ministries involve our parishioners in full, conscious and active participation in our seven Sunday Masses as well as at daily Mass, special feast day celebrations, retreats, funerals, weddings, baptisms and various prayer ministries.

We are blessed to be a community that grows in our faith through prayer, sacraments and service.  We began 24/7 Prayer with Perpetual Adoration on Ash Wednesday, 2003.  We ask that every meeting begin and end with prayer.  We encourage families to pray together.  We offer opportunities for various prayer styles such as Centering Prayer, Charismatic Prayer, Spanish and Vietnamese Prayer and of course silent prayer and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.

St. Michael School is an important ministry of the parish.  Check out their website and experience the energy and gifts the school brings to our community.

In conjunction with Catholic Community Services (CCS), St. Mike's Tikes is an early learning child care center that is nationally accredited and offers quality child care.  Tikes is an important presence on our campus.

In closing, I pray that each person who reads these words will experience a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit in their lives.  May you be blessed by the daily ministries of St. Michael Parish.  May you experience a sincere and warm welcome to our community and most of all, may you experience the presence of Jesus Christ in our midst.

Sincerely, In Christ,

Fr. Jim
