The Eucharistic Congress is a gathering to celebrate Jesus – alive and present in the Holy Eucharist.
It seeks to:
- Promote an awareness of the central place of the Eucharist in the life and mission of the Catholic Church.
- Help improve our understanding and celebration of the liturgy.
- Draw attention to the social dimension of the Eucharist
The celebration of the Eucharist is at the very heart of the Congress. The program includes catechesis, testimonies, and prayer. St. Michael Parish’s first Congress was in 2009 and was a source of encouragement and renewal for over 700 adults, teens and children.
Speakers for this year’s Congress are:
Bishop Eusebio Elizando (Archbishop J. Peter Sartain was scheduled, but is recovering from surgery and was forced to cancel.)
